  9.   These archive contains a set of utilities to split, join and
  10.   compare binary files. There are versions for Amiga and PC,
  11.   where files splitted by any one of the split tools can be
  12.   joined by any one of the join tools.
  13.  
  14.   The main purpose of these utilities is to transfer large files
  15.   from one computer to an other using floppy disks.
  16.  
  17. Archive content:

  19.   There are three executables for the Amiga:
  20.  
  21.     doSplit    14108 bytes
  22.     doJoin     12384 bytes
  23.     doCompare   7304 bytes
  24.  
  25.   This archive includes another archive in ZIP format containing the
  26.   versions for x86 compatible computers named "splijo86.zip". To use it
  27.   transfer it to a PC and extract it with WinZip for example.

  29.   In the PC archive there are two utilities for DOS:
  30.     split.exe
  31.     join.exe
  32.  
  33.   And there is a combined GUI version for Windows:
  34.     splijo.exe

  36. Usage:
  37. ======
  38.   Please type "progname -?" for any of the command line tools
  39.   to get help. The Windows version has a built in help page.
